Today’s blog post is all about my 2019 goals and how I plan to achieve them and I’m inviting you to come plan with me for what will be our most productive year by far. By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I know that this is the beginning of the year and most of us are going into planning mood like writing new year’s resolutions and things we hope to achieve by the end of the year. We can all be honest and say that “A dream without a plan is just a wish”.
Personally, before 2018 ended I made a commitment to myself that I was going to be more intentional about 2019 and I was going to make all the necessary effort it takes to make this year as productive as it can be. So, I grabbed my pen and notebook and started listing out areas I wanted to really focus on and I came up with my plan for the year.
RECENT POST: My 2018 In Style || Blog Year Recap
So I decided to make this blog post so that we can all plan together and you see how I’m planning for the year 2019. You guys can also hold me accountable on the goals that I have set for myself. So grab your pen and take down these points to help you plan for the year.
Here are 3 steps that can help you…
♦ CATEGORIZE YOUR GOALS
Having categories for the most important goals for the year would not only keep you organize but it will also give you the chance to be really specific for each goals. Which brings us to our next step.
♦ HAVE SUB-CATEGORIES
Write subcategories which can be between 2-4 goals on each category. The less the better because you don’t want to get too overwhelmed and not achieve any of those goals in the end. When doing this, you could use the “SMART Method” (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely)
NOTE: Some of these goals may not be what you can actually measure.
♦ BREAK DOWN YOUR GOALS INTO ACHIEVABLE PIECES
In other to see how you can achieve set goals, write down the steps it will take to achieve these goals.
For example, if you want to make 500k in the year, you can divide this by 12 months to see how much you can make in a month. And you could also go further to divide it by 4 weeks to see how much you can make in a week. If you’ve come to the realization that these figures are not what you think you’ll be able to achieve, then bring those figures to down.
With these few steps, you can set achievable goals for 2019 and this year will be far more productive than previous years. All you have to do is visualise what you want for yourself and how you want the year to be. Put in the effort that’s needed and DO THE WORK!!!
Was this post helpful in any way? Have you already set your goals for the year? If you have, I’d love to know what your 2019 goals are? Leave a comment below and don’t forget to share this post.
Till next time
